The parade kicked off
the day-long festivities, including a hot dog lunch at Glover
Memorial Park. Santa was there handing out toys to all the girls and
boys. At 5:00 p.m., a tree lighting ceremony was held at Glover Park
and Christmas carols were sung by choirs and others in attendance.
Immediately following the tree lighting, everyone was invited to
Phoenix Youth and FAmily Services for refreshments and to view the
many beautiful Christmas trees on display which were decorated by
local businesses, churches and families. The Phoenix Christmas tree
display was a perfect ending to a fun filled day. |
